Garrity Commercial Real Estate generates results for out clients.  These results are achieved through a proven and integrity driven process.  It is built upon the client’s needs and our professional relationships in Texas and throughout the United States .  More than four decades of servicing the needs of our clients in both the commercial real estate and banking industries results in our clients having the best possible broker and approach to provide our clients the results they need.  

Specialization

Licensed Texas Real Estate Broker specializing in the purchase/sale and leasing of commercial properties.  Activities include land sales, office/warehouse and office leasing as a tenant representative, sale of industrial facilities and customized commercial development projects.  Most recent activity has been in land sales in northwest Houston and southern Montgomery County .  

 

Our Clients

Our client base is diverse.  Serving private and public companies.  Garrity Commercial Real Estate generates results.  Our clients include:  Shell Oil Company, BTR, Inc., Mutual of Omaha, Cooper industries, American Eagle Wheels and Greenwood Insurance.

 

Professional Experience

28 years in commercial real estate sales and leasing as a commission broker, including 21 years with Cushman & Wakefield as a Senior Director involving brokerage and consulting actives nationwide.  Last five years as a licensed real estate broker dba Garrity Commercial Real Estate. 

 

Education

James A. Garrity’s formal education provided the essential backdrop for success.  Graduation from the University of Notre Dame in 1959 with a Bachelor of Science in Commerce degree.  Jim Garrity also completed graduate studies in banking and finance from Stanford University in 1975.  In addition to formal education, Mr. Garrity continues to participate in various accredited real estate courses as a student and teacher.

  • Membership in National Association of Industrial and Office Parks (NAIOP).

  • Past President, Notre Dame Club of Houston .

  • Saint Ignatius Loyola Parish Finance Council and Eucharistic Minister.

  • Facilitator for ARK (Adults Relating to Kids).

Personal

  • Military Service, 1st Lieutenant 4th Armored Division/Germany

  • Married – Andrea, 42 years

  • 3 grown children, each married and eight grandchildren

  • Hobbies include:  piano, golf, snow skiing and hunting
